Other countires that used propaganda, like posters, were Britain, Italy, Russia, and Germany. Trench WarfareIn the fight against Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary, there were many tactics used, but trench warfare was a major one. This tactic was mostly used on the western front on Europe. Trench warfare was when opposing forces built mile long ditches in the ground and fired at each other. The land between the two trenches was known as 'No-Man's Land". This strategy led to stalemates in the war because nobody was able to penetrate the othe side's defenses.

The Great DepressionOne of the causes of World War 1 was the Great Depression. The Great Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression that had occured after World War 1. In the U.S., it began on October 29, 1929, with the Stock Market Crash. The prices of stocks began to drop rapidly and many people began to panic and sell stocks that nobody wanted to buy in order to collect their money before it was gone. Businesses and industry were also affected, which caused a chain reaction to people losing their jobs and homes.Nardo, Don. "Redistribution of Wealth Will Hurt Instead of Help." The Great Depression. San Diego, CA: Greenhaven, 2000. 61. Print. I learned much more about the Great Depression in this book than I ever knew, which I can use in my project.
